Community Support & Resources

We know not every situation is an intake. That’s why we’ve gathered resources to help you and your pet-because a strong community saves more lives.

Based in the Permian Basin, we take in stray, injured, sick, abandoned, or lost dogs and cats. Bring them to us — we’ll give medical care, safe shelter, and a comfy place to recover while we look for their owners or a forever home. We handle intake, assessment, and all the TLC.

Need to Surrender a Pet?

Common Reasons for Surrender

Financial Strain: Unexpected veterinary bills or the high cost of pet care.

  • Housing Issues: Moving, weight/breed restrictions, or pet-deposit requirements.

  • Lifestyle & Time: Unmanageable work hours or a pet's behavioral concerns (e.g., separation anxiety).

  • Health & Allergies: Caretaker health issues, allergies, or an unexpected change in family dynamics.

Temporary Assistance Options

Surrender doesn't always have to be the final answer. If you are experiencing a temporary hardship, resources may exist to help you keep your beloved companion:

  • Pet Pantries: Free pet food and supply assistance during financial crunches.

  • Medical Aid: Low-cost vaccinations and subsidized veterinary care.

  • Temporary Foster Care: Short-term pet housing to help you stabilize during a personal crisis.

  • Behavioral Training: Guidance to manage and correct unmanageable behaviors in the home.

Rehoming Support

If you have exhausted all alternatives and still must part with your pet, you can safely and responsibly rehome them without the stress.

Making the choice to relinquish a pet is incredibly heart-wrenching. Our Permian Basin team is completely judgement-free. We are here to help you navigate this transition with compassion, understanding, and dignity.
